Friday Basketball: Curtis, Evans combo big for Xenia

Samari Curtis and Jay Evans combined for 65 points in leading Xenia in a 90-65 win over Stebbins in boys basketball action on Friday.

Curtis finished with 36 points and Evans had 29.

Mickael Mayo scored 19 for Stebbins with Jonathan Mpanzu adding 17.

Xenia improved to 2-0 in conference play and 2-2 overall. Stebbins fell to 0-3 and 0-1 in conference.

Centerville 51, Springboro 44: Matt Pearce scored 11 points and Ryan Marchal 10 as Centerville pulled away in the final quarter. Kaleb Tabor had 16 and Garett Powell 14 for 'Boro.

Lebanon 60, Northmont 46: Harrison Hoofkin poured in 25 points, Drew Sekerak had 18 and Zach Huffman 13 to lead Northmont. Donavin Wallace had 14 for Northmont.

Butler 64, Piqua 43: Kort Justice scored 13 points and Michael Kreill, Braedon Norman and Ryan Wertz tacked on 10 apiece to help Vandalia move to 3-0.

Sidney 68, Tippecanoe 64: Andre Gordon poured in 24 points and Ryan Neins tacked on 11 as Sidney outpaced Tippecanoe with foul shots at the end. Caiden Smith tallied 22 for Tipp.

Miamisburg 70, West Carrollton 42: Corey Hartman had 16 and Duncan Hall 15 for Miamisburg. Jayden Evans led WC with 16.

Thurgood Marshall 75, Ponitz 72: Anthony McCombs scored 16 and Trall Sims 13 to pace Thurgood in the close win. Damonte Bailey poured in 22 points with 23 rebounds for Ponitz.

McNicholas 60, Carroll 53: Eli Ramsey scored 18 and Matt Cogan 15 to lead four players in double-digit scoring for Carroll.

Waynesville 53, Dixie 42: Matthew Warren paced Waynesville with 19 points. Devin Worley had 13 for Dixie.

Northridge 55, Carlisle 41: Twon Hines led Northridge with 12 points and Robbie Turner and TaVaughn Johnson added 11 apiece. Justin Flor carried Carlisle with 17.

Bellbrook 38, Eaton 28: Hayden Greene paced Bellbrook with nine points.

Northwest 62, Edgewood 57: Ethan McCarty scored 14 points and Austin Scott 13 in a losing effort for Edgewood.

Kenton Ridge 60, Graham 56: KR scored 24 points in the final quarter to cap off a huge rally.

Northeastern 59, Mechanicsburg 47: Alex Lockwood had 16 points and Jacob Yarnell 12 for NE. Chris Taylor paced 'Burg with 15.

Greeneview 58, Southeastern 45: Mason Schneider tallied 19 and Gabe Caudill 13 for Greeneview. Bryce Grim had 12 for SE.

West Liberty-Salem 66, Triad 45: Ben Burden scored 19 points and Max Eggleston added 15 to lead WLS. Hadley LeVan had 20 for Triad.

Dayton Christian 70, Legacy Christian 53: Matt Welker poured in 33 points and Anton Webb tacked on 19 with nine rebounds to carry DC. Erik Uszynski led Legacy with 19 points.

Miami Valley 43, Emmanuel Christian 35: MV outscored unbeaten EC 14-3 in the final quarter to pull off the rally win. Alec Martin had 20 for Miami Valley. Fred Shropshire led Emmanuel with 11.

Yellow Springs 74, Middletown Christian 61: Tony Marinelli poured in 37 points in an outstanding performance for Springs. James Browning tacked on 18. Dre Shores had 26 for MC.

Miami East 60, Bradford 33: Dylan Hahn put up 21 points and Brendon Bertsch added 15, both off the bench, to lead East.

Tri-County North 49, Twin Valley South 46: Dillon McCullough tallied 16 points and Brian Stinson tacked on 11 for North. Travis Lovely led South with 18.

National Trail 60, Arcanum 41: Cameron Harrison tallied 24 points and Travis Hunt tacked on 15 to lead Trail. Carter Gray had 15 for Arcanum.

Lockland 89, New Miami 70: Deanza Duncan put up 24 points and Jordan Robinette 19 in a losing effort for New Miami.

Fort Loramie 62, Botkins 27: Dillon Braun put up 23 points and Tyler Siegel 13 as Fort Loramie put together a 31-3 run in the blowout win.

Versailles 48, Delphos SJ's 30: A.J. Ahrens scored 15 and Justin Ahrens 14 to lead Versailles.

New Knoxville 57, Waynesfield Goshen 42: Ben Lammers poured in 22 points and Nathan Tinnerman 15 to lead New Knoxville.

Fort Recovery 56, Delphos Jeffeerson 45, OT: Grant Knapke led FR with 24 points and Payton Jutte added 19 in the overtime victory.

St. Henry 43, St. Marys 32: Tyler Schlarman and Ryan Luttmer scored 11 points apiece for St. Henry.
