High School Football: 5 games to watch in Week 2

One week into the season is a small sample size to try and figure a team out, but these five games should be worth the price of admission this Friday night for Week 2 of the high school football season.

Trotwood at Piqua: The Rams ripped Troy in their opener and now take on a Piqua team that didn't get much of a test last week at Meadowdale. The Indians might have a bit of an edge up front, but can they match Trotwood's speed? Not many teams can.

Coldwater at Clinton-Massie: The Falcons flattened East Clinton 56-0 in their opener, while the Cavaliers had a much tougher time against a better opponent, beating Kenton 35-28. Not many early-season games will offer this type of playoff intensity.

Fort Recovery at Valley View: A second straight home game for Bob Skidmore's Spartans. Valley View outscored Wilmington 52-31 in the opener while Fort Recovery held off Lehman Catholic 27-21. The Indians could have their hands full slowing down the home team at Barker Field.

Anna at Brookville: The Rockets put up 52 points in their season opener against Arlington. Brookville gets a second straight home game after handling Tri-County North 34-7 last week. Anna and Brookville are both battling for playoff points in Division V, Region 20.

Belmont at Fenwick: The Bison opened some eyes with a 42-0 rout of Dunbar last Thursday night. Now Earl White takes his team on the road to face Fenwick. All John Aregood's Falcons did last week was rally from a 21-0 deficit to win at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. Elijah Malcolm scored four touchdowns in Belmont's win.

Tune in to Touchdown 7 at 11:13 p.m. Friday on WHIO-TV for all of the highlights and scores from around the Miami Valley.
