Kevin Hogan flunks first test as starter

In an attempt to awaken the offense, Browns coach Hue Jackson made a quarterback switch from DeShone Kizer to Kevin Hogan. It failed.

Hogan went 20 of 37 for 140 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions in a blowout 33-17 loss at Houston. Making matters worse, Texans quarterback DeShaun Watson continues to look like a budding star after the Browns passed on him twice in April’s draft.

The reviews on Hogan haven’t been positive. Jackson suggested the team could go back to Kizer.
