Maybe the Chargers should have signed Joey Bosa sooner

An acrimonious holdout is turning into a standout rookie season faster than anyone could have imagined for Joey Bosa.

The Ohio State All-American has only played two games in the NFL, but his impact for the Chargers is already sending ripples through the league.

Bosa had two sacks in his debut Sunday then was a consistent force Thursday night as the Chargers knocked off the defending Super Bowl champion Broncos.

Pro Football Focus noted against the Raiders on Sunday Bosa played both linebacker and defensive end while also showing the ability to play on either side of the field.

Pretty impressive for any rookie, but especially one who didn't get the full allotment of offseason work with his team.

It also answers questions about where he would fit in the San Diego scheme (everywhere, as it turns out).

Meanwhile, Chargers fans who were out on Bosa because of his holdout are already asking to be let back in.

With 10 games left, it will be interesting to see what kind of numbers the former Buckeye can put up this season.
