Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said Burfict was reacting to a shove from Nix and that outcry “was generally overblown.” But Lewis did say Burfict has to control himself better when instigated.

“You can’t react,” he said. “Everybody on the football team knows you can’t react.”
This is the 10th time Burfict has been either fined or suspended by the league.
