Ohio State losing another key player early to NFL draft

Curtis Samuel is leaving Ohio State early for the NFL.

LandOf10.com confirmed the versatile receiver and running back won't be back with the Buckeyes after a breakout 2016 campaign, and he posted a farewell message on Twitter on Monday.

Samuel led Ohio State with 1,655 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns.

Easily the Buckeyes’ most reliable playmaker throughout the season, Samuel will be hard to replace, but there are plenty of candidates.

The most logical would be Demario McCall, a sophomore-to-be who has flashed some of the same ability to run between the tackles and make people miss in the open field.
