Charles Cooke also in G League as season begins

Former Dayton Flyers forward Kendall Pollard made the roster of the Salt Lake City Stars, who play the Austin Spurs on Friday, the opening night of play in the NBA G League.

One of Pollard’s games in the first month takes place in Memphis at the FedEx Forum, where he had his breakout game as a freshman in the Sweet 16 against Stanford.

Former Dayton guard Kyle Davis was on the training camp roster of another G League team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, but he was not on the opening night roster released Friday.

Former Dayton guard Charles Cooke, who began the season with the New Orleans Pelicans, was assigned to the Greensboro Swarm in the G League. He's playing on a two-way contract, which means he can spend up to 45 days with the Pelicans during the regular season.

Former Flyer Chris Wright begins the season on the roster of the Oklahoma City Blue.
