Prep Results for Dec. 3: Lakota West streak snapped

The Mason girls basketball team snapped Lakota West’s 39-game conference win streak with a 44-42 win on Saturday.

It also broke a 19-game win streak at home for the Firebirds.

Tihanna Fulton hit the go-ahead basket with four seconds to play for Mason.

Bryana Henderson had 10 points and Nevaeh Dean recorded seven points with 11 rebounds for West.

Mt. Notre Dame 60, Beavercreek 47: A 19-9 run by Mt. Notre Dame in the second half put Beavercreek away. Carmen Williams led 'Creek with 16 points.

Springboro 72, Fairborn 42: 'Boro went on a 24-4 run in the final quarter to pull away. Evelyn Oktavec of Fairborn led all scorers with 19 points.

Vandalia 59, Arcanum 44: Olivia Schoenherr had 21 points and Willow Knight added 17 for Vandalia. Stevie Johnting led Arcanum with 18 points.

Greenville 57, Bradford 36: Mandi Bates scored 18 points with eight rebounds for Bradford.

Lakota East 56, Hamilton 36: Jordan Stanley tallied 18 points with six steals and Bryn Mangold had 11 points with seven rebounds for East. Cici Riggins led Hamilton with 19 points, five steals and six rebounds.

Tecumseh 85, Urbana 40: Presley Griffitts poured in 34 points with eight assists and Corinne Thomas added 22 points with seven assists for Tecumseh. Hunter Rogan tallied 25 points for Urbana.

Bellefontaine 49, Piqua 36: Piqua led by a point at the half, but Bellefontaine pulled away with a 21-10 swing in the fourth quarter. Kelsey Magoteaux led Piqua with 10 points.

Mechanicsburg 64, Spg. Shawnee 42: Elly and Kacey Schipfer combined for 36 points, 17 rebounds, 10 steals and nine assists for 'Burg.

Dixie 41, Northridge 29: Faith Russell led Dixie with 12 points and seven boards and Mckinlee Ruppert added 11 points.

Madison 57, Milton-Union 38: Kelli Bush notched 18 points and Kenzi Saunders added 16 for Madison. Kristen Dickison led Milton-Union with 13 points.

Monroe 46, Eaton 38: Katie Sloneker had 14 points and Sophie Sloneker added 13 for Monroe. Becca Mowen and Ashlyn Black each scored 12 points for Eaton.

Oakwood 29, Brookville 18: Kyndall Ketterer scored 14 points for Oakwood.

Thurgood Marshall 52, Winton Woods 37: Ohio University commit Cierra Hooks poured in 29 points to lead Thurgood.

Dunbar 40, Linden McKinley 35: Jocelyn Martin had 11 points and Monet Allen added 10 for Dunbar.

Botkins 37, Fort Loramie 35: Botkins outscored Fort Loramie 12-8 in the final period to take the lead. Casey Woodall had 13 points for Botkins. Marissa Miering led Fort Loramie with 17 points and seven rebounds.

St. Henry 73, Ansonia 70: Addy Vaughn scored 24 points for St. Henry and Nora Vaughn added 10. Trinity Henderson paced Ansonia with 20 points.

Boys Basketball

Northwest 56, Hamilton 48: Myles Howard and Hunter Hamilton each chipped in 13 points with double-digit rebounds in a losing effort for Hamilton.

Edgewood 50, Fenwick 46: Garrett Gabbard led Edgewood with 11 points. John Engelmeier had 13 points for Fenwick.

Madison 58, Tri-County North 43: Grant Whisman scored 20 points and Madison used a 20-9 swing in the third quarter to take control. Zach Edgin had 17 points in the loss for TCN.

Eaton 58, Dixie 42: Trevor Pittmann poured in 32 points, including six three-point baskets, to lead Eaton to a win in the Twin Valley South Tip Off Tournament championship game. Devin Worley had 13 points for Dixie.

National Trail 59, Twin Valley South 54, 3OT: Travis Hunt scored 20 points and Dalton Mason added 18 for Trail in this triple-overtime thriller in the Twin Valley South Tip Off Tournament consolation game. Peyton Harrison chipped in 11 points, including three big foul shots near the end of the third overtime. Mike Meyers led TVS with 20 points.

Catholic Central 62, Yellow Springs 57, OT: Cossy Catanzaro had 17 points and Trey Dunn added 15 for Catholic Central.

Triad 57, DeGraff Riverside 54: Hadley LeVan had 25 points, including four three-point baskets, to lead Triad.

Greeneview 52, Northwestern 40: Ethan Bradds recorded 26 points and Mason Schneider added 15 for Greeneview.

Troy Christian 67, New Bremen 56: James Anderson tallied 15 points and Conner Case and Seth Wynne each had 12 for Troy Christian. Avery Powers led New Bremen with 15 points.

Fort Loramie 74, New Knoxville 51: Evan Berning had 21 points with seven rebounds, Dillon Braun had 17 points with seven boards and Cody Gason hauled in 10 rebounds for Fort Loramie. Nick Topp led New Knoxville with 17 points.

Botkins 66, Parkway 54: Luke Bergman shot seven of eight from the foul line on his way to 21 points for Botkins. Mason Baxter paced Parkway with 19 points.

St. Henry 60, Russia 57, OT: Tyler Schlarman scored 18 points and St. Henry sank five of six free throws in overtime. Jack Dapore scored 11 for Russia.

Continental 52, Temple Christian 45: Brody Bowman paced Temple Christian with 23 points.

Wrestling

Elder Duals: Beavercreek knocked off Sycamore, Anderson, Fairmont and Moore Tradition but finished second after losing to Elder in the finals of the tournament. Fairmont finished third.

Marysville Duals: Graham defeated Springboro, Teays Valley, Watkins, Westerville Central and Marysville to win the tournament. Next up for Graham is the Ironman Tournament at Walsh Jesuit on Friday and Saturday.

Jessy Reeder Memorial Dual Tournament: Tanner Workman of West Liberty-Salem went 8-0 on his way to winning the 126-lb final.

Swimming

Waynesville Swimvitational: The Waynesville boys team edged Oakwood for the win but Oakwood did take first place on the girls side. Tanner Shinkle won the 200-yard medley for Waynesville.

Bellbrook Quad: The Bellbrook boys and girls each won. Henry Wong won the 200-yard IM and the 100-yard butterfly and Carter Caldwell won the 200 and 500-yard freestyle races to pace the boys.
