Reds land three prospects among top 100, hope Hunter Greene makes it four

Senzel, Castillo and Mahle made the grade; Greene will if he signs contract by 5 p.m.

The Reds have three prospects among the top 100 in all the minor leagues, according to Baseball America Magazine, and if Hunter Greene signs with the Reds by today's 5 p.m. deadline, the pitcher/shortstop deluxe who was drafted No. 2 overall will likely push that total to four.

Do you think that’s enough for a team that has supposedly been stockpiling prospects for a couple seasons?

Meanwhile, there are wild spots in the social media world suggesting several odd things about Greene, including one saying that he has un-followed all of his Reds’ social media channels, and is going to pass on signing with the team and head off to UCLA for three seasons.

There has been, however, no confirmation of this or anything else suitably believable, but at least one fan has a sense of humor about the situation:

What’s your humor level like this afternoon?
