H.S. Results for 4/10: Erbe, Kollars carry Oakwood

Brian Erbe had a 4-for-4 game with two doubles and Jake Kollars doubled and drove in two runs to lead Oakwood to a 7-4 win over Valley View in Monday baseball action.

Alec Barhorst picked up the win on the mound. Mark Lauterbach and Kollars both finished 2-for-4 at the plate.

Oakwood improved to 9-1.

Baseball

Vandalia 10, Greenville 0: Braedon Norman punched out eight and improved to 4-0 with a one-hit shutout for unbeaten Vandalia. Tyler Burley led the way at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a double and a home run.

Northmont 10, Xenia 6: Tyler Defibaugh, Dylan Guth, Logan Jewsikow and Will Ludington plated a pair of runs apiece to help Northmont hold off a Xenia rally. Robert DeLong went 2-for-4 with a RBI for Xenia.

Miamisburg 10, Bellefontaine 2: ‘Burg pushed across six runs in the fifth inning to rally from a 2-1 deficit. Jon Yerkins, Brandon Boxer, Tyler Grimes and Justin Cooper all collected multiple hits for Miamisburg.

Centerville 4, Fairmont 2: Joey Hecht struck out six in a complete game start to help Centerville earn a hard-fought win.

Fairborn 6, Stebbins 2: Will Coleman went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI and Dylan Bliss and Jacob Webb both notched a pair of hits for Fairborn.

West Carrolton 19, Trotwood-Madison 0: Tyler Hunt and Jordan Joseph combined on a no-hitter and Alex Smith tripled and drove in three for WC.

Troy 6, Sidney 3: Hayden Kotwica went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored out of the leadoff spot for Troy. Austin McLain and Conor Beer both had a pair of hits for Sidney.

Fairfield 6, Oak Hills 3: Erick All smashed a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the sixth for Fairfield. Nolan McWhorter added a double and Kaleb Ford drove in two runs off of two hits.

Carroll 3, Alter 2: Carroll won in walkoff fashion with a bunt in the bottom of the ninth.

Eaton 4, Brookville 1: Donnie Nicodemus struck out nine over five innings and Bradley Curry racked up three hits to lead Eaton.

Tecumseh 12, Urbana 2: Reid Hale punched out 13 and went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI to pace Tecumseh. Brayden Fain drove in both of Urbana’s runs.

West Liberty-Salem 8, Greeneview 5: Tyler Louden, Brandon Orahood and Levi Moell all drove in runs to help WLS get a win in its first conference game.

Tri-Village 8, Ansonia 3: Christian Ricker went 2-for-2 with six stolen bases and Trey Frech was 2-for-4 with two RBI for unbeaten Tri-Village.

Newton 7, Arcanum 1: Treg Jackson picked up his fourth victory on the mound and Newton improved to 11-1 overall.

Riverside 12, Lima Perry 2: Caleb Stevens racked up three hits and three RBI and Tyler Sanford, Hunter Kreglow and Trey Long drove in two runs apiece for Riverside.

Softball

Fairborn 16, Stebbins 2: Taylor Rice homered and drove in five to help her cause on the mound, where she struck out 11 to earn the win. Riley Davis, Chloe Becraft and Hannah Borchert each notched a pair of hits.

Northmont 18, Versailles 6: Sydney Weaver and Sydney McGilton each went yard for Northmont. Kate Stammen had a home run for Versailles.

Sidney 7, Troy 0: Grace Shell struck out ten and Summer Inman blasted a two-run homer for Sidney.

Greenville 4, Vandalia 0: Greenville picked up another win to remain unbeaten in conference play and 7-3 overall.

West Carrollton 21, Trotwood-Madison 1: Madi Mills, Nicole Vandervort, Peyton Winand and Mackenzie Bush all had multiple hits for WC.

Badin 22, Roger Bacon 2: Unbeaten Badin pounded out 19 hits, with Gracie McHugh and Nicole Rawlings each tallying four including a home run and five RBI from Rawlings.

Chaminade Julienne 13, Fenwick 7: Caroline Nevius collected four hits, including a double and a home run, and Natalie Northern picked up the win for CJ. Annabelle Thomas had a double and a triple for Fenwick.

Eaton 7, Brookville 4: Eaton scored three runs in the ninth to break a 4-4 tie. Annika Gels pitched a complete game, scattering eight hits and striking out 11.

Ross 13, Mount Healthy 0: Emily Poling went 3-for-4 with three RBI and Ally Ivey, Whitney Arno and Maddy Foster all recorded doubles for Ross.

Harrison 6, Edgewood 5: Hailey Jackson tallied four hits and Ally Williams added three but Edgewood lost an extra-innings heartbreaker after giving up a run in the ninth.

Spg. Shawnee 2, Kenton Ridge 1: Makenna Loveless had a 3-for-3 night with a double to lead Shawnee. Olivia Lee doubled for Kenton Ridge.

Northwestern 3, Indian Lake 0: Jenna Robbins smashed two home runs and threw a one-hit shutout on the mound to lead Northwestern.

Tecumseh 21, Urbana 0: Ashley Fite racked up five hits, including three triples and seven RBI, and McKenzie Drews and Logan Markstrom tacked on four hits apiece to lead Tecumseh.

Ben Logan 11, Celina 1: Darian Rockhold finished a single shy of the cycle, and Kinzie Jones and Jazmine McKeen also had home runs for Ben Logan.

West Liberty-Salem 11, Greenview 0: Kelsey Day struck out nine in the win, Mady Stratton was 3-for-3 with a triple and Kenedie Cox and Kiana Reames both had a pair of hits for WLS.

Northeastern 9, Triad 2: Abby Ehrenborg had a home run in a losing effort for Triad.

Tri-Village 11, Ansonia 7: Trisa Porter, Payge Malott and Danika Mann each had three hits, with Malott and Allie Downing driving in three runs apiece, to lead Tri-Village.

Newton 10, Arcanum 9: Kacie Tackett tallied three hits, including the game-winning double and RBI. Haley Pack and Brooke Deeter both tacked on home runs for Newton.

Centerville (IN) 9, National Trail 8: Ariel Lee had two triples and Bobbi Grimes drove in two runs in a losing effort for Trail.

Riverside 10, Lima Perry 0: Gelena Faulder was 3-for-4 and Leah Kelsey was 2-for-3, both driving in a pair of runs to lead Riverside.

Troy 3, Fairmont 2: Andrew Magoteaux won his singles match and Troy swept the doubles portion to pick up a close win. Murad Nawaz and Jake Haas had singles victories for Fairmont.

Tippecanoe 5, Bellefontaine 0: Evan Hill and the doubles duo of David Shinninger/Levi Berning took their matches in straight sets for Tipp.

St. Marys 4, Greenville 1: Noah Haupt had the lone victory for Greenville, edging Cam Dingledine in three sets in his first singles match.

Badin 3, McNicholas 2: Noah Connaughton took his first singles match in straight sets for Badin.

Chaminade Julienne 4, Tippecanoe 1: Dominic Rougeax and Andrew Hartley picked up singles wins for CJ. Colin Achterberg won the first singles match for Tipp.

Spg. Shawnee 4, Cedarville 1: Daniel Detrick won in first singles (6-0 6-1) and Gabe Andorfer took his third singles match (6-0 6-0) to lead Shawnee.

Tecumseh 5, Sidney 0: Mitch Foland, Michael Green and Drew Sarihan helped Tecumseh take the singles portion of the match.

Eaton 5, Northridge 0: Nathan Snedigal and Brad Kramer won their singles matches in straight sets for Eaton.

Valley View 4, Preble Shawnee 1: Chase Midkiff and Ian Barnett both notched singles wins for Valley View. Pierce Elliott of Preble was victorious in first singles.

Yellow Springs 4, Springfield 1: August Knemeyer, Forrest Rowe and Peter Day notched wins as Yellow Springs swept the singles matches.

Lehman Catholic 3, Elida 2: Sam Ritze and Elijah Jock both had singles wins for Lehman Catholic.
