H.S. Results for 4/26: Kenton Ridge clinches share of title

The Kenton Ridge baseball team secured at least a share of the Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail title with a 13-2 win over Springfield Shawnee on Wednesday.

Kaleb Meeks led the way, clobbering a three-run home run and adding a double. Noah Schleinitz picked up the win on the mound, his fourth.

Ben Ross and Bryce Cox both doubled for Shawnee.

Kenton Ridge improved to 15-4 overall and 9-1 in conference play. Shawnee fell to 8-9.

Baseball

Fairfield 10, Sycamore 6: Brock Mathis homered and drove in two and Andrew Sams tallied two hits with two RBI and picked up the win on the mound for Fairfield.

Chaminade Julienne 13, Carroll 3: Ryan Peltier and Brendan Kadel both homered and Garrett Wissman reached the 100-hit milestone for his career in the win for CJ.

Badin 7, McNicholas 3: Daunte DeCello was a triple shy of the cycle, driving in four in leading Badin. Devon Valentino added two hits and two RBI and Nick Taylor earned the victory on the mound.

Eaton 3, Carlisle 1: Bradley Curry struck out eight and scattered three hits in the complete-game outing while Trevor Pittman, Alex Roe and Donnie Nicodemus all doubled for Eaton.

Monroe 10, Bellbrook 8: Alex Page homered and drove in three and Logan Becraft went 4-for-4 with two RBI as Monroe plated three runs in the bottom of the sixth to get the rally win. Bennett Peloquin went 2-for-4 with two RBI for Bellbrook.

Fenwick 3, Alter 2: Alan Nix tossed a complete game and Jared Kauffman hit a solo shot to help Fenwick pull off the season sweep of Alter.

Triad 9, West Liberty-Salem 6: Shane Ford pitched solid across six and two-thirds innings and Triad pushed across three runs in the top of the ninth inning to come away with the win. Tyler Louden went 3-for-5 with two runs scored for WLS.

Softball

Northmont 6, Vandalia 0: Ryanne Stoffel and Anna Mangen both doubled for Northmont, which held Vandalia to four hits in the shutout.

Monroe 11, Bellbrook 1: Ashley McNabb homered, Faith Hensley doubled and tripled and Alyssa Wagner improved to 10-0 in helping Monroe improve to 7-0 in conference play. Kelly Clark had a double for Bellbrook.

Franklin 10, Oakwood 3: Chloe Miller notched the win on the mound and Tara Johnson drove in three for Franklin.

Dixie 13, Milton Union 9: Mariah Harlow went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBI and Taylor Jones was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBI to pace Dixie.

Badin 8, McNicholas 0: Nicole Rawlings punched out nine in her 17th win and Maddie Curtner went 2-for-3 with three RBI to lead Badin.

West Liberty-Salem 17, Tecumseh 1: Kelsey Day struck out eight in the win, Kiana Reames was 3-for-3 with a home run and a double and Olivia Ames was 4-for-5 with a double to pace WLS.

Triad 12, Ridgemont 0: Abby Ehrenborg paced Triad, going 3-for-3 with a double and two home runs.

Covington 10, Ansonia 1: Justice Warner blasted a grand slam, driving in five runs on the night to carry Covington.

National Trail 5, Newton 4: Bobbi Grimes brought in the winning run in the sixth inning to help Trail hand Newton its first conference loss. Elizabeth Glander struck out 11 in the win and Payton Laird drove in two runs with a triple.

Boys Tennis

Fairmont 3, Northmont 2: Murad Nawaz, Jake Haas and Tyler Juhasz notched singles wins for Fairmont. Northmont swept the doubles matches.

Greenville 4, Brookville 1: Noah Haupt and Craig Manges grabbed singles wins for Greenville.

Tecumseh 5, Greeneview 0: Drew Sarihan, Christian Hunt and Jacob Lewis swept the singles matches for Tecumseh.

Fenwick 3, Waynesville 2: Dylan Sagan, Matt Page and Tim Erhart had wins to help Fenwick sweep the singles matches.

Milton Union 4, Lehman Catholic 1: Philip and Nathan Brumbaugh recorded singles victories and MU swept the doubles matches for the win. Ryan Goettemoeller won in third singles for Lehman Catholic.

Eaton 4, Dayton Christian 1: Brad Kramer and Cody Frizzell both had singles wins for Eaton. Paul Hodge beat Breven Perry in first singles for Dayton Christian’s lone win.

Miami Valley 4, Seven Hills 1: Michael Perevozchikov and Reece Quigley tallied singles wins and Miami Valley swept the doubles matches to improve to 12-0.

Boys Lacrosse

Alter 22, Fairmont 0: Alter kept its record unbeaten with the shutout of Fairmont.

Boys Volleyball

Beavercreek 3, Fairmont 0: Noah Buell recorded 28 assists, Parker Mikesch added 13 digs with 16 kills and Michael Abbitt had four blocks and two aces to lead ‘Creek.

Northmont 3, Edgewood 0: Logan Flynn had six kills and two blocks and David Testas added six kills in Edgewood’s loss.

Moeller 3, Alter 0: Josh Kabel had 23 assists, Dan Nye five kills and eight digs and Andrew Rose 13 kills with six digs in a losing effort for Alter.
