Middletown, paced by runner-up Chris Cupp with a 666, placed second in the field at Crossgate Lanes. Wilmington was sixth.
Blake Haynes (Edgewood), Jarrett White (Talawanda), Adam New (Lakota East), Kane Proctor (Hamilton), Rob Horton (Fairfield) and Kyle Burdine (Fairfield) each qualified individually.

Newton 43, Franklin Monroe 27: Tatum McBride tallied 15 points with seven steals and Elizabeth Carroll tacked on 14 points to lead Newton, which put the game out of reach with a 14-0 run starting late in the third quarter. Newton will face Tri-Village in a sectional final on Saturday.
Tri-Village 58, Catholic Central 23: Danica Mann poured in 26 points and Allie Downing 17 to lead Tri-Village in this sectional semifinal. Taylor Baker led Catholic Central with 13 points.
