HS Results 9/18: CJ girls blank Mercy

Katie Baird drove in the lone goal off an Erin McGraw assist to propel Chaminade Julienne to a 1-0 victory on the road against Mercy on Monday.

Baird’s shot found the net in the 60th minute. Keeper Alexis Nelson had a solid performance to preserve the shutout.

CJ, which improved to 5-3-1, will face state-ranked Alter on Wednesday.

Boys Soccer

Bellefontaine 5, Graham 2: Brad Hughes scored twice and Preston Henry tallied a goal with 2 assists to help Bellefontaine improve to 4-0 in conference play.

Girls Soccer

Urbana 3, Kenton Ridge 0: Tessa Armstrong scored twice and assisted on the third goal to lead Urbana. Keeper Magdaline Perry added 4 saves for the shutout.

Boys Golf

Troy 149, Tippecanoe 179: Nate Uhlenbrock and Holden Scribner both tallied 34 to lead Troy. Nathan Gagnon had a 42 for Tipp.

Xenia 181, Bellbrook 186: Javin Galliger and Travis Newell each shot a 43 to lead the field for Xenia. Benton Miller had a 44 for Bellbrook.

Preble Shawnee 209, National Trail 214: Chris Brubaker earned medalist honors at 47 in a losing effort for National Trail.

Spg. Shawnee 166, Bellefontaine 178, Ben Logan 182: Grant Engle paced Shawnee with a 34. Hunter Karg had a 39 for Bellefontaine and Nicklaus Lyons and Ethan Ricketts each had a 41 for Ben Logan.

Northeastern 195, Triad 201: Jake Calhoun posted a 40 and Josh Calhoun a 45 to lead Northeastern.

Greeneview 176, Cedarville 180: Mason Witt recorded a 35 to lead Greeneview. Adam Wood had a 38 for Cedarville.

Greenon 159, Catholic Central 198: Zach Knauer had a 39 and Greenon posted a season-low score. Keegan Windle paced CC with a 42.

West Jefferson 181, West Liberty-Salem 184: Max Eggleston led the field with a 38 in a losing effort for WLS.

Newton 171, Miami East 183: Chet Jamison shot a 37 and Garrett Peters added a 41 for Newton.. Zac Johnson led East with a 40.

Twin Valley South 177, Tri-Village 207: Nathan Osborn led the field with a 36 for TVS.

Tri-County North 188, Mississinawa Valley 246: Ethan Kelley recorded a 38 and Alec Wayman a 45 for TCN.

St. Henry 167, St. Marys 175: Kyle Naumann paced St. Henry with a 38 and Jack Romer added a 41.

Lebanon 182, Springboro 183, Little Miami 233: Grace Swartz and Kaylee Carman each had a 45 to lead Lebanon. Lexi Savage was the medalist for Springboro with a 40.

Greenville 224, West Carrollton 294: Lainey Oswalt and Makenzi Glancy each recorded a 55 for Greenville.

Triad 232, Northeastern 235: Kayleigh Boldman took medalist honors for Triad with a 47.

Versailles 188, Miami East 210: Paige Lawson had a 47 in a losing effort for East.

St. Henry 180, Coldwater 240: Ellen Naumann led the field with a 39 for St. Henry.

Girls Tennis

Middletown 3, Hamilton 2: Hannah Wilson took her singles match in straight sets and the doubles duo of Paige Green/Katie Pearson also notched a win for Middletown. Ella Dollenmeyer won a tiebreak in first singles for Hamilton.

Preble Shawnee 3, Eaton 2: Ashlyn Hubbard, Alivia Reek and Michelle Bulach all got wins as Preble swept the singles matches.

Girls Volleyball

Vandalia 3, Greenville 0: Mackenzie Dunacna and Sarah Droesch sported a kill percentage of .333 to lead Vandalia.

Tecumseh 3, Springfield 0: Olivia Taylor and Taryn Freer each had 9 digs and Taylor added 3 aces for Springfield in a losing effort.

New Knoxville 3, Anna 1: Tasia Lauth tallied 19 kills and Carly Fledderjohann added 41 assists for New Knoxville.
