HS Roundup 2/1: Cogan leads Carroll past McClain

Matt Cogan scored all 18 of his points off of three-point shots to lead the way for Carroll in a 72-39 win against McClain in boys basketball action Thursday.

Braden Seymour added 14 and Eli Ramsey 12.

Carroll improved to 11-6 with the win.

Girls Basketball

Franklin 53, Carlisle 45: Layne Ferrell poured in 32 points for Franklin in the win. Caitlyn Stewart scored 14 and Abby Erisman 13 for Carlisle.

Oakwood 72, Northridge 19: Margie Conrath scored 16 points and Kyndall Ketterer tacked on 12 for Oakwood. Loraine Reeder recorded 11 for Northridge.

Greenon 73, Madison Plains 13: Reagan Ware netted 26 points for Greenon.

Mechanicsburg 50, West Jefferson 36: Kasey Schipfer paced ‘Burg with 19 points, four assists and six steals.

Greeneview 50, Catholic Central 38: Frankie Fife finished with 15 points and Greeneview pulled away in the fourth quarter. Ayanna Doolittle led Central with 16 points.

West Liberty-Salem 64, Triad 29: Kelsey Day led WLS with 16 points, Taylor Lauck added 15 and Gabby Hollar 13.

Franklin Monroe 72, Mississinawa Valley 11: Belle Cable drained five three-point shots on the way to 24 points for FM. Chloe Brumbaugh added 11 and Corina Conley 10.

Twin Valley South 59, Ansonia 43: Mylan Crews chipped in 17 points and Kelsie Shafer had 16 for TVS. Trinity Henderson led Ansonia with 11.

Covington 71, National Trail 44: Samantha Whiteman poured in 24 points and Jordan Crowell added on 17 for Covington.

Tri-Village 49, Arcanum 21: Maddie Downing tallied 21 points and Lissa Siler 16 for TV.

Newton 47, Bradford 30: Tatum McBride netted 25 points for Newton. Skipp Miller scored 10 in a losing effort for Bradford.

Anna 56, Lehman Catholic 47: Alanna O’Leary led Lehman with 17 points and Grace Monnin added 12.

Fort Loramie 65, Houston 35: Marissa Meiring finished with 13 points and Abby Holthaus 11 for FL. Jess Monnier had 16 for Houston.

Coldwater 45, New Bremen 34: Olivia Harlamert carried Coldwater with 15 points and Lauren Gilliland pulled in 11 rebounds. Jane Homan had 13 for New Bremen.
