HS Roundup 1/31: Crouch, Campbell lead Bellbrook past Oakwood

Donnie Crouch led a balanced attack that saw four players in double-digit scoring for Bellbrook in a 64-50 boys basketball win versus Oakwood on Wednesday.

Crouch scored 19 points, Jack Campbell 15, Hayden Greene 14 and Storm Painter 12.

Darren Rubin led all scorers with 20 points for Oakwood.

Boys Basketball

Ponitz 98, Cin. Prep 61: Damonte Bailey put up 27 points with 17 rebounds, Jaron Smith had 18 points and Eric Sealey Jr. 13 points with 15 rebounds for Ponitz.

Legacy Christian 66, Jefferson 36: Ashton Burke led Legacy with 19 points. Tawyn Berry recorded 13 for Jefferson.

Girls Basketball

Centerville 71, Springfield 49: Jasmine Broner and Amy Velasco each scored 13 points to lead Centerville. Mickayla Perdue paced Springfield with 25.

Lebanon 52, Northmont 48: Kendall Folley finished with 17 points and Alexis Straw 10 to help Lebanon rally in the second half. Shalaya Heath had 16 for Northmont.

Springboro 42, Miamisburg 38: ‘Boro held off a ‘Burg rally for the win. Abby Carter led all scorers with 14 points.

Princeton 52, Fairfield 49, OT: Journee Hicks had 14 points and Zahrya Bailey 13 but Fairfield fell after being held to three points in overtime.

Bellbrook 77, Clinton-Massie 25: Kayla Paul paced Bellbrook with 17 points, Maren Freudenchuss added 15 and Gigi Painter 14.

Edgewood 39, Talawanda 31: Callie Hunt totaled 19 points with 12 rebounds for Edgewood. Addie Brown had 14 points, including shooting 12-of-12 from the foul line, for Talawanda.

Tecumseh 70, Spg. Shawnee 36: Corinne Thomas tallied 23 points and Pressley Griffits added 12 for Tecumseh.

Indian Lake 45, Urbana 44: Alaina Lyons led Urbana with 25 points and Cassidy James hauled in eight rebounds.

Chaminade Julienne 55, Alter 39: Dallas Jones carried CJ with 22 points and Staci Greene tacked on 19.

Badin 44, McNicholas 43: Macy Harper sunk two key foul shots in the final minute and Emma Broermann totaled 22 points to lead Badin.

Miami Esat 84, Ansonia 42: Morgan Haney exploded for 32 points and Maria Staton and Haley Howard each had double-double efforts for East. It also marked the 601st win in program history.
