Six candidates announced for 2018 Reds Hall of Fame

The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame & Museum announced today the six former players appearing on the 2018 Reds Hall of Fame ballot.

Third baseman Aaron Boone (1997-2003), outfielder Adam Dunn (2001-08), pitcher John Franco (1984-89), pitcher Danny Graves (1997-2005), third baseman Scott Rolen (2009-12) and outfielder Reggie Sanders (1991-98) are the Modern Player candidates.

Fans can vote online at RedsMuseum.org through Sept. 30, with a limit of one vote per person/email address per day.

One Modern Player will be selected for induction as part of the Class of 2018.

“We look forward to honoring one of these six worthy candidates next year with induction ceremonies at Great American Ball Park and at the Induction Gala,” said Rick Walls, executive director of the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum. “And we are thrilled to have the fans continue to play a significant role in determining the next inductee into the Hall of Fame.”

The Reds Hall of Fame Committee will consider candidates for induction whose playing careers ended more than 13 years ago, along with managers and executives. The Reds Hall of Fame Class of 2018 will be announced later this year.
