2 starters return to Bengals practice

Safety Shawn Williams and linebacker Kevin Minter returned to practice Wednesday for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Williams missed Sunday’s loss at Tennessee with a hamstring injury. Minter has missed three games with an elbow injury. Both starters were listed as limited Wednesday, along with defensive end Michael Johnson (illness).

Five players did not practice, including cornerbacks Adam Jones (concussion) and William Jackson (toe), both of whom left Sunday’s game early.

Wide receiver Brandon LaFell (hamstring), defensive tackle Pat Sims (calf) and defensive end Chris Smith (ankle) also sat out.

Wide receiver Tyler Boyd was a full participant for the second consecutive practice and could be on track to return to action Sunday in Denver after missing four games with a knee injury.
