The Cincinnati Bengals are No. 1 -- Wait, what?

After two weeks of action, the Cincinnati Bengals are ranked No. 1 in the NFL in pass defense and No. 5 in total defense.

The Bengals are allowing just 104.5 passing yards per game, which is 32 fewer than the No. 2 passing defense (Carolina) and 267 total yards, which further highlights how bad the offense has been in the team’s 0-2 start.

“(Being ranked No. 1) is something for the defense, but it’s a team game,” cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick said. “I’d rather get the W. I’d rather be an average defense vs. being 0-2 and being the best pass defense.”

The No. 1 pass defense in the NFL will get a serious test Sunday in Green Bay against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, who have the No. 4 pass offense (297.0).
