If you were wondering how D’Mitrik Trice is doing after foot surgery, you’re far from alone.

The former Wayne High School star (now a sophomore guard at Wisconsin) has heard from several notable people as he recovers from a procedure performed last month to fix a fractured metatarsal bone.

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo, Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann and ESPN basketball analyst Jay Williams all called according to Wisconsin’s official team website.

"It made me feel really good to see other coaches in the Big Ten take time out of their day to call me and say, 'We're thinking of you,’” Trice told the site.

He also got a call from his brother, Travis Jr., and got a visit from his parents, Travis Sr. and Julie.

Trice was third on the team in scoring at the time of his injury, and his return date is uncertain at this point.

Trice could start rehab in a pool this week and return to be able to practice again by the end of the month.

He figures to be welcomed back to the Wisconsin lineup with open arms.

The Badgers are scuffling along at 9-9, including a 2-3 mark in the Big Ten.
