WATCH: Kyle Schwarber thanks high school football coach Jason Krause

Kyle Schwarber is a budding baseball star, but like many boys who grow up in Southwest Ohio, football helped shape him.

The Chicago Cubs slugger took some time to sit down with Jason Krause, his coach at Middletown High School, and thank him for the impact he made on his life.

Krause, who is now the coach at Fairfield, has stayed in touch with Schwarber, and the two talked about how the coach helped him stay positive Schwarber rehabilitated a serious knee injury last season.

He made it back in time to have a major impact on the Cubs' winning the World Series for the first time since 1908.

Already this season he has become the fastest Cub to reach 20 career home runs, doing so in 97 games.
