March Madness continues for former Wayne High School standout D’Mitrik Trice.

Trice and his Wisconsin Badgers teammates face Florida on Friday night in a Sweet 16 game at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Trice, a 6-foot freshman guard, is one of the top reserves for the Badgers (27-9). Trice has played in all 36 games and averages 5.8 points and 1.9 assists.

At Wayne, Trice led the Warriors to the Division I state basketball title in 2015 . A three-year starter, he finished his career as Wayne’s all-time assists leader (499). He spent the 2015-16 season as a post-graduate at IMG Academy in Florida.

The Badgers beat Virginia Tech and defending champion Villanova to reach the Sweet 16.
