Wayne defensive end Alex Reigelsperger is back in the market for a college football team.

The three-star prospect Tweeted Monday he is no longer committed to Kentucky.

“After long, long talks with my family, I have decided to re-open my recruitment,” Reigelsperger wrote.

He also thanked Kentucky fans and coach Mark Stoops, who has recruited Ohio heavily since becoming head coach of the Wildcats prior to the 2013 season.

Reigelsperger is the No. 24 wide-side defensive end prospect in the country according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

He committed to UK in February.

Per 247, his 20 offers include Tennessee, West Virginia, Arizona, Minnesota, Iowa, Louisville, Pitt, Cincinnati and Miami University, among others.

Warriors teammate L’Christian “Blue” Smith has committed to Ohio State.

Last year, Kentucky signed seven players from Ohio, including Mason defensive end Alex King.

The Wildcats’ 2016 class included Kordell Looney of Springfield, Justin Rigg of Springboro, Roland Walder of Trotwood-Madison and Tobias Gilliam of Wayne.

Reigelsperger is second in the GWOC in sacks with nine this season.

Wayne (5-2) plays at Fairmont on Friday night before finishing the regular season with Springfield and Trotwood-Madison.
