Week 10: Trotwood-Madison, Valley View, Greeneview, Marion Local cap unbeaten regular seasons; Fairmont headed to playoffs

Fairmont shocked Springfield and earned its first playoff berth since 2008 with a 7-3 win over the Wildcats at home Friday.

The Firebirds were 1-9 last year, but rebounded behind second year coach Dave Miller to clinch a berth in Region 3.

Trotwood finished an unbeaten season with a win over rival Wayne.

Troy beat rival Piqua, clinched a playoff spot and a division title in the process.

Alter hammered Chaminade Julienne to clinch a GCL division title.

Greeneview pummeled Madison-Plains to go 10-0 for the first time in over 20 years.

Week 10: High School Football Scores

Northmont 49, Miamisburg 28: Devin Kenerly reached the end zone a school-record six times and Miles Johnson had a perfect night passing to lead Northmont. Kenerly racked up 162 yards on 24 carries and Johnson finished 12-of-12 with 178 yards and a touchdown. Tony Clark had three TD runs to set Miamisburg records for both season (22) and career (56).

Centerville 26, Beavercreek 0: Alec Grandin and Jake Spiewak hooked up on three touchdown passes and the Centerville defense added a safety and held 'Creek to 83 yards of offense. Grandin finished with 255 yards through the air, Spiewak had six catches for 148 yards and Ross Harmon tacked on 103 yards rushing.

Springboro 38, Lebanon 7: Payton Standifer had three TD runs and Shazor Niazi added a 65-yard interception return for a score to lead 'Boro. Brendan Lamb ran in Lebanon's lone score.

Sidney 40, Greenville 8: Andre Gordon threw a TD pass and scampered for four more and Isaiah Bowser tallied 176 yards on the ground to lead Sidney. Micah Light rushed for Greenville's only touchdown.

Fairborn 20, Xenia 14: K.J. Redmon ran for 211 yards with two touchdowns and Brandon Becraft added a fumble recovery for a score for Fairborn. Sincere Wells led Xenia with 201 yards rushing and two scores.

Stebbins 19, West Carrollton 0: Stebbins pulled out the victory to avoid a winless season.

Mason 36, Lakota East 0: Matt Sora had two rushing touchdowns and Jake Harris threw one pass for a TD as Mason pulled away early.

Hamilton 27, Lakota West 7: Maleek Jarrett ran in all four of Hamilton's scores, finishing with 187 yards on 22 carries. MyJaden Horton scored the lone TD for West.

Fenwick 13, Carroll 7: Keegan Corbett surpassed the 1,000 rushing yards milestone in the win for Fenwick.

Madison 58, Northridge 13: Cameron Svarda had four TD runs and Evan Crim added two to lead Madison. Twon Hines had a 53-yard touchdown run to highlight Northridge.

Bellbrook 10, Oakwood 0: Justin Sloan had a 48-yard TD run, finishing with 120 yards overall on the ground, and Caden Kooken nailed a 31-yard field goal to account for Bellbrook's scoring.

Milton-Union 38, Waynesville 12: Anthony Carmichael tossed two touchdowns in a losing effort for Waynesville.

Indian Lake 14, Ben Logan 6: Clay Jacobs hit Connor Dixon on a 14-yard TD pass for the winning score. IL wrapped up a CBC Mad River title with the win. Cole Waugh ran in the lone score for Ben Logan.

Bellefontaine 28, Kenton Ridge 6: With the victory Bellefontaine won the CBC Kenton Trail division outright.

Urbana 35, Northwestern 14: Nick Dorsey ran in three touchdowns and Urbana pulled away with 21 unanswered points in the second half. Eli Berner rushed in both scores for Northwestern.

Spg. Shawnee 13, Tecumseh 7: Robie Glass and Jack McCrory each had a rushing TD for Shawnee. David Berner tallied the lone TD for Tecumseh.

Jonathan Alder 21, Graham 6: Jamie Dye ran in two touchdowns for Alder. Austin Brayton's 76-yard TD run put Graham on the board.

Southeastern 7, Greenon 3: Cooper Chaffin recorded 120 yards on the ground in a losing effort for Greenon.

Miami East 7, Twin Valley South 0: Matt Welk caught a one-yard TD pass from Ian Gengler and East wrapped up a CCC title with the slim victory.

Covington 7, National Trail 6: Trail scored a TD with eight seconds to play but Covington stopped the two-point conversion to hold on for the win.

Marion Local 39, Parkway 0: The Flyers wrapped up a 10-0 unbeaten regular season and an outright MAC title.

Fort Recovery 28, St. Henry 16: Will Homan posted 420 yards rushing to set a school record. Homan also had three touchdowns.

Delphos SJ's 12, Coldwater 7: Jared Wurst ran both touchdowns in to give DSJ its first win versus Coldwater since 2010.
