Week 5: Northmont, Wayne go OT; Valley View and Beavercreek still unbeaten; 200 more rushing yards for Bowser

Northmont was down two touchdowns at halftime, but outscored Wayne 21-7 in the second half, before falling to the Warriors 38-35 in double-overtime.

The Thunderbolts were on the verge of winning when Wayne’s Justin Harris intercepted the ball on the 1 yard line, setting the Warriors up for the game-winning field goal.

The game sets Wayne for a showdown against undefeated Centerville next week.

Week 5: High School Football Scores

Valley View's Collin Genslinger played offense for the first time this season, rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-3 win over Franklin.

Bellbrook has won four in a row since losing its opener against Tippecanoe after beating Eaton 35-0.

Unbeaten Beavercreek defeated unbeaten Fairmont 14-3 behind 170 yards rushing from Kaden Wenger.

Trotwood 59, Greenville 0: Tedrian Satterwhite notched 147 yards to lead 11 rushers for Trotwood, which rumbled for 448 yards on the ground in the rout. Markell Stephens-Peppers tacked on a 60-yard punt return for a score.

Tippecanoe 23, Fairborn 21: Caiden Smith nailed a 33-yard field goal with 5:15 to play that put Tippecanoe ahead for good. Cole Barhorst had 78 yards rushing and caught a 28-yard TD for Tipp. Wesley Watts threw for 300 yards with three scores in a losing effort for Fairborn.

Troy 31, Miamisburg 21: After 'Burg got on the board with a Matt Jablonsky interception return Troy racked off 31 unanswered points to take control. Jaydon Culp-Bishop led the way with 241 yards on the ground and a score.

Piqua 36, Xenia 20: Austin Davis threw for 164 yards with four touchdowns as Piqua pulled ahead in the second half. Sincere Wells tallied 176 rushing yards with two scores for Xenia.

Vandalia 50, Stebbins 15: Logan Flatt ran in three touchdowns and added an 80-yard kickoff return for a score to pace Vandalia.

Sidney 42, West Carrollton 0: Isaiah Bowser rumbled for 205 yards on the ground with two scores and added three receptions for 103 yards and a TD to lead Sidney.

Mason 31, Lakota West 0: MyJaden Horton threw for 167 yards and David Afari racked up 75 yards on the ground in a losing effort for West.

Colerain 41, Hamilton 7: Maleek Jarrett's 5-yard rush marked the lone TD for Hamilton.

Sycamore 34, Middletown 14: Zach Maloney had both TD runs for Middletown in a rally effort.

Brookville 45, Monroe 28: Bailey Wallen rushed into the record books, tallying 212 yards with five touchdowns to become the all-time career rushing yard leader at Brookville. Nicholas Osterman paced Monroe with three passing scores.

Madison 48, Oakwood 28: Tyler Baumgartner and Cameron Svarda each rushed for a pair of touchdowns as Madison pulled away in the second half. Brian Erbe tossed four touchdowns for Oakwood.

Carlisle 48, Northridge 20: D.J. Chambers tallied three rushing scores and Jake Moore threw a TD and ran in another for Carlisle. Mason Hardin tallied a rushing and passing TD for Northridge.

Bellefontaine 49, Ben Logan 20: Garrett Gross rushed for 206 yards and Dezmin Lyburtus 166, each reaching the endzone twice to lead Bellefontaine.

Greeneview 55, Northeastern 7: Nick Clevenger accounted for six touchdowns, four through the air and two on the ground, to pace Greeneview. Collin Wilson added 110 yards receiving with three scores.

Mechanicsburg 44, Madison Plains 14: Logan Hurst tossed three touchdowns and Justin Hunt hauled in four catches for 141 yards, including a 99-yard TD, to lead 'Burg.

Twin Valley South 18, Mississinawa Valley 6: Cade Cottingim hooked up with Chandler Napier on a 28-yard TD to take the lead and TVS benefitted from consecutive safeties in the win.

Fort Loramie 52, Ansonia 28: Mike Hoying accounted for four touchdowns and Carter Mescher had three scores to lead Loramie.

Fort Recovery 28, Minster 27, OT: A gutsy two-point conversion run from Will Homan in overtime gave Fort Recovery the win.

Coldwater 13, St. Henry 10: Blake Dippold nailed his second field goal of the night with 2:23 to play to give Coldwater the edge.

New Bremen 34, Parkway 20: New Bremen snapped a 38-game conference losing streak, marking the first MAC win since 2012.
