Salvors Inspect Grounded Shell Oil Drilling Rig

Salvage experts prepare to inspect the stricken Kulluk drilling rig grounded off an Alaskan island in a New Year's Eve storm. The Royal Dutch Shell rig remains upright and stable not far from Kodiak Island after being tossed by high winds and seas. The drillship sustained some damage and flooding but none of its 155,000 gallons of fuel and other petroleum products have so far leaked into the Atlantic Ocean.
