When you think about Dayton, what’s the first place to come to mind?

The Dayton.com Best of Dayton contest is under way, and one of the most voted on categories to date is Best Dayton Landmark.

We asked our readers to nominate the spots they feel deserve this honor. Those that received the most nominations are now up for vote in our Best of Dayton contest.

Last year’s winner was the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The museum is the world’s largest and oldest military aviation museum featuring more than 360 aerospace vehicles and missiles on display amid more than 19 acres of indoor exhibit space divided into hangars.

A sizable part of the 140 acre prairie at the northeast corner of Fredrick Pike and National Road has been rezoned for commercial/industrial construction.
