Buckeyes Kasich and Miller tweet about their NY encounter

Two Ohio State University Buckeyes looking to advance their careers crossed paths on the streets of New York City on Friday.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who graduated from OSU in 1974, is campaigning for votes in next week's New York primary while Buckeye football standout Braxton Miller is in New York ahead of the NFL draft later this month.

The two men tweeted out photos of their sidewalk meeting and wished one another luck.

"In NYC and just ran into one of the all-time great Buckeyes. Good luck in the draft @BraxtonMiller5," Kasich tweeted. And Miller responded on Twitter: "Thanks my man! Both was surprised to see each other out here!!! Good luck #Ohio."

While the two seemed glad to see each other, it's unlikely that Miller voted for Kasich in the Ohio primary. He isn't registered to vote in Ohio, according to Secretary of State records.
