Kasich to spend $1.2 million on ads in NH

WASHINGTON -- A non-profit organization supporting the presidential campaign of Gov. John Kasich plans to spend $1.2 million in TV commercials to boost Kasich's campaign in the New Hampshire primary.

New Day for America, a 527 non-profit, will buy $668,360 worth of TV commercials on Manchester, N.H.; $517,040 in Boston; $30,550 in Burlington, Vt., and Plattsburg, N.Y., and $4,320 for Portland, Me. The commercials will air on cable and regular TV.

Earlier this month, New Day spent $1.5 million on TV in Boston and Manchester. The new commercials will begin airing as Kasich announces Tuesday he will officially announce his campaign for president during a rally at Ohio State University.
