Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, trying to establish himself as the only establishment hope to stop Donald Trump, went after Trump from the beginning. Trump was always ready to shoot back. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz played to his hometown Houston crowd. He has a lot riding on Super Tuesday. It would almost certainly end his campaign if he lost Texas next week.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich tried to stay above the fray and not attack. Ben Carson had to remind people he was there.
