Ted Strickland, the former Ohio governor now seeking the Democratic nomination to run against U.S. Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, will speak pm Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Miami County Democratic Party's Fall Dinner.
The dinner will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. at Cooper's Farm, 3155 SR48, Ludlow Falls. Remarks begin at 7 p.m.
Strickland faces Cincinnati Councilman P.G. Sittenfeld in the May Democratic primary.
Strickland will discuss the "middle-class squeeze," according to a campaign news release.
"The U.S. Senate shouldn't be a place where millionaires go to look after the interests of billionaires," Strickland said in the news release. "I'm running because I believe anyone who works hard ought to be able to live in a comfortable home, send their kids to college and save for retirement."
