"Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?"
That quote from Donald Trump about fellow Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina has set off a firestorm of debate about the way Trump talks about women.
Fiorina said Trump is turning on her because she's rising in the polls and "getting under his skin."
Other candidates have jumped on Trump's comments.
Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in Columbus Thursday said Trump "seems to delight in insulting women every chance he gets." She also said she'd love to debate him.
Republican Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal called Trump "a madman," while Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said the billionaire real-estate mogul "seems to delight in insulting women every chance he gets."
During a CNN interview about the debate, Trump said Kelly had "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever" when she was questioning him about his past comments about other women such as Rosie O'Donnell.
The Associated Press reported Thursday that during an interview with ABC's The View, Trump said "I want to say that I cherish women, and I will protect women, and I will take care of women, and I have great respect for women."
