An accounting firm will celebrate its new downtown Dayton offices with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Speakers and a ribbon cutting are scheduled for RSM’s new offices on two of the three floors in the newly renovated building at 6 South Patterson Blvd.
The event is set for 4 p.m. July 11.
Dayton City Manager Shelley Dickstein is scheduled to speak at the event, as is Montgomery County Commissioner Judy Dodge, Phillip Parker, president and chief executive officer of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, and others.
RSM US LLP is the U.S. member of RSM International, a network of independent audit, tax and consulting firms with more than 43,000 people in more than 120 countries.
Last December, this news outlet reported that RSM will leave its previous offices of 2000 W. Dorothy Lane in Moraine to move to the Dayton building at South Patterson and Third Street, bringing 70 to 80 high-paying jobs downtown.
Todd Pleiman, managing partner at RSM, said at the time that his company has around 90 offices in the U.S., most of them in or near downtowns.
When RSM sold its Moraine building to Shook Construction early in 2017, leaders of RSM then had a good idea of where they wanted to go.
“Downtown was our focus from the beginning,” Pleiman said at the time.
