The casino is set to open next spring.
Butler and Warren county residents have a good chance of getting a job, as casino operators have committed to hiring 90 percent of the work force from Greater Cincinnati. Ultimately, the casino is expected to create 1,700 permanent full- and part-time jobs.
Applicants who make it through interviews will be invited to attend dealer training. It takes about 12 weeks to train dealers. At the conclusion of training, Horseshoe Cincinnati will make hires for dealers, said spokeswoman Jennifer Kulczycki.
Pay has not been set in Cincinnati, but dealers at Rock Ohio Caesars’ Cleveland casino opened this year earn $17 to $22 on average an hour, including tips, Kulczycki said.
