July was one of the best months this year for Coldwell Banker Heritage Realtors of Beavercreek, said Ken Parrott, broker and co-owner of the real estate firm.
It was also the “best July we’ve had in seven years” for sales, Parrott said. Coldwell’s 300 or so real estate agents closed last month on sales of 145 houses, a total sales volume of $56.3 million. That was a year-over-year increase in sales volume of more than 32 percent, he said.
But Parrott said he wouldn’t call it a boom yet.
“It’s a local business though, so some markets are doing better than others,” he said. “In some of our markets there’s a shortage of good houses, so you’re seeing some multiple offers.”
Dayton Area Board of Realtors is scheduled to release next week its report of July home sales for the whole market.
