Dayton firm lands $30 million defense contract

The Navy has awarded the Dayton area firm NAVGeo an up to $30 million, five-year contract for surveying and mapping work, according to the Department of Defense.

Most of the work will be at Navy and Marine Corps bases and other government facilities predominantly in the eastern United States,, the Defense Department said in a statement late Thursday. Work will focus on other facilities worldwide, the Defense Department said.

The contract was awarded by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Norfolk, Va.
