Rieck Services, a Dayton-based full service commercial mechanical contractor, will undergo new ownership after four generations with the Rieck family.
Harold Rieck Jr. has sold his shares in the business after six decades with the company to spend more time with his family as well as focus on philanthropic activities.
The company, located at 5245 Wadsworth Road, provides maintenance and construction services in the areas of heating, air conditioning, ventillation, sheetmetal fabrication, temperature controls, and energy solutions.
“For more than 120 years, the Rieck family has led the business beginning with Harold’s great-grandfather Herman F. Rieck,” said Rieck CEO/President Doug Mayse in a release. “Harold is the fourth generation of the Rieck family to lead the business and he will continue to serve as a consultant to the board of directors.”
Mayse and other board of directors, Doug Walker, Michael F. Stemen and Steven Fabrigar will purchase the shares from Rieck and Vice President Larry Cottle.
The company has more than 200 employees.
