Lt. Gov. Taylor to celebrate Pratt opening

Ohio Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor is scheduled to join company and local officials today at the opening of Pratt Industries Inc.’s new $44 million facility in Lewisburg, according to a media release.

Pratt, a leading recycling firm and corrugated packaging maker, will officially open the new 350,000-square-foot facility at 301 W. Clay St. on Tuesday afternoon.

Pratt Industries Global Chairman Anthony Pratt also will attend the opening event.

Pratt already has one plant in Lewisburg — Lewisburg Container at 275 W. Clay St. Pratt also operates a corrugating plant in Springfield and an office in Mason, according to the company’s website.

The new facility will have a full-time workforce of 140 at capacity and save the equivalent of up to 10,000 trees a day by using 100 percent recycled paper from Pratt’s mill system, company officials said.
