Huber Heights officials are working on a real estate deal that could result in a new hotel.

On Monday, City Council will consider plans to sell two acres of land for the purpose of constructing a hotel, according to City Manager Rob Schommer, who publicly announced the item after a late-night executive session of council Tuesday.

The location of the proposed hotel was not immediately disclosed.

This newspaper has for months reported the potential for two acres of land near Rose Music Center to be sold for construction of a hotel. In April, city officials said they hoped to break ground at the site by the end of 2016.
