Law firm announces merger with West Virginia firm

Dinsmore & Shohl has merged with Huddleston Bolen, one of the oldest law firms in West Virginia and the surrounding region, according to a release from the company.

The Cincinnati-based firm has an office in downtown Dayton among 18 other cities throughout Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. The firm, in existence for more than a century, employs about 575 lawyers.

The merger, effective Feb. 1, will add 40 attorneys and 56 staff to the firm. With the addition, Dinsmore will become the fourth largest law firm in West Virginia with more than 75 attorneys practicing in five offices, according to the company.

Huddleston Bolen is based in Huntington, W.Va. and has offices in Charleston, Louisville, Ky. and Ashland, Ky.
