Fries and fellow consultant Kari Hertel will provide the consulting services, specializing in representing clients before legislative bodies and state, federal and local government agencies. The consulting group also will work with D&S Consulting LLC, the government relations arm of Dinsmore & Shohl that was formed in May 2008.
Fries has been a public-sector consultant since 1985 when he formed Tom Fries Associates following 14 years of service in the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate.
