Pets organization to break ground in Xenia

A local non-profit will break ground for a $2.7 million, 13,000-square-foot building today in Xenia.

4 Paws for Ability places trained service dogs with children with disabilities and wounded veterans. The new building at 207 Dayton Ave. will be used for growing and training service dogs.

The site will be the organization’s headquarters, with kennels and space for training and playing. The organization’s current home is a former Veterans of Foreign Wars hall.

The project was designed by HiFive Development Services Inc., based in Mason.
