The retail giant’s permit was filed May 24 with Montgomery County and requests to renovate 30,900 square feet of the store.

A request for comment was left with Wal-Mart asking for more details about the scope of the project.
The project is contracted to WD Partners, based in Dublin, according to the permit.
Other grocery chains around the region have been giving their local stores a facelift, including Aldi and Kroger, which have invested millions on recent remodels.
