Santa Claus is coming to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Jolly Ol’ St. Nick’s sleigh is set to touch down Dec. 4 at the Wright-Patterson Club, for the base holiday tree lighting ceremony, 5-8 p.m. that evening.

The event is free and open to anyone with base access, a press release from the base said.

The holiday tree lighting begins with a short opening ceremony featuring holiday music, the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus — and the lighting of a “brand-new, 20-foot holiday tree, to start the holiday season,” the release said.

Some of Santa’s reindeer will also be present.

After the tree lighting, events continue inside the club. Children have the opportunity to talk with Santa, take a photo with Santa and even get a present.

Other events include ornament decorating, stocking decorating and children’s bingo, as well as a holiday buffet and a hot cocoa bar.

An ice skating rink will also be set up that night, with skates available for use.
