BRENNER, Melva M. Melva M. Brenner died December 31, 2017. Born April 26, 1921, the youngest child of Frances (Bonner) and August Wittman, she attended St. Stephen School, Hamilton High School and Littleford-Nelson Business College. For 15 years she served as accountant for the Hudson Automobile Agency in Hamilton. Then for 30 years she worked for the National Lead Company, retiring as manager of the employee credit union in 1986. In 1959 she married Jack Brenner. Together they traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada and overseas. They also enjoyed sailing their boat at Acton Lake in Hueston Woods State Park and at Brookville Lake in Indiana. Their activities also included hiking and cycling as members of local clubs. Melva was a member of Sigma Phi Gamma International, a business sorority; and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hamilton. Melva was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her sisters, Lucille Schick, Marian Flum, and Germaine Issenmann; her brothers, Paul Wittman and Robert Wittman; her nephews, Larry Wittman and David Wittmann. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Jean Ann Abel, Tom Schick, Janet Gray, June Brozozowski, Gerald Schick, Dennis Wittman, Joyce Mannix, Jan Abols, Steve Wittman, Jim Issenmann, Debbie Murphy, Cindy Thuman and Mike Elix; and by numerous grandnieces and nephews, and greatgrandnieces and nephews. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Melva at St. Joseph Church, 171 Washington St., Hamilton, at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 6, 2018. There will be visitation in church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School or to the charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be left at
