GIBBONS-SMITH, Betty "Cooch" 62, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. She was born in London, Kentucky on Feb. 14, 1956 to the late Lester & Maudie (Griffin) Gibbons. Betty was a graduate of Kiser High School Class of '73. She had worked for Eastway Corp. for over 20 years. Survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Russell Smith; daughters, Toshia Daniels (Rob), Chrissy Cunningham (Ken), Rita Gray (Rodney) & Jamie Ryman; 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Courtney, Kyle, Taylor, Bailey, Alex & Angelo; sisters, Loretta Daniels & Joyce Hamblin (Donnie); brothers, Lester Gibbons (Carol), Jerry Gibbons (Theresa), Marvin Gibbons, Charles Gibbons (Phyllis); mother-in-law, Wanda Smith; brother-in-law, Jeff Smith (Tara); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & many friends. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "Northridge Chapel," 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Todd Hoskins, officiating. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12 noon Thursday, prior to the service, at the George C. Martin Funeral Home.
