(Heck), Elizabeth Ann KINGSEED

KINGSEED (Heck), Elizabeth Ann "Libby" 62, of Centerville, OH died suddenly on Sunday, December 24th, 2017. Libby was born Thursday, March 17th, 1955 in Columbus, OH to the late Barbara Jean (Moore) and David S Heck. She earned an associate's degree from Cottey College in 1975, a bachelor's degree from Miami University in 1977, and a master's in history from the University of Delaware in 1979. She was an active member of Centerville United Methodist Church. Particularly important to her were singing in choir, teaching adult Sunday School, and United Methodist Women. Libby was a member and past president of Chapter CN, P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was a program officer and the archivist at Kettering Foundation where her current program focus was directing the foundation's K-12 civic education research. Before coming to the foundation Libby was the curator of the Centerville-Washington Township Historical Society. Prior to that, she worked as assistant to the librarian at the Chicago Historical Society. She is survived by her children Laura (Patrick) Hickman and Dan Kingseed; grandchildren Micah and Benjamin Hickman; sister Mary Jo Heck (Eileen Ewing); stepbrother Tom George and niece Amanda George; and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. Memorial service to be held at Centerville United Methodist Church (63 E Franklin St, Centerville, OH 45459) on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cottey College (Nevada, MO) or UNICEF.
