JOHNSON (Chambers), Marian Amelia Was born November 4, 1932 in Elwood, KS to the late Robert Martin Chambers and Grace Amelia Willis Chambers. She graduated high school in Elwood, KS and on June 10, 1953, she married the late George Harold Johnson, Sr. During their 55 years of marriage, they spent 23 years serving in the United States Air Force, where thy lived overseas for several years while raising their seven children. Her love of the Lord began as a young child and continued throughout her life. After retirement in Columbus, MS in 1973, Marian attended Columbus Air Force Base Chapel and Zion Gate Baptist Church. She worked in the Columbus Public School System for 20 years where she retired in 1985. After the death husband, George, she moved to Dayton, OH where she faithfully attended Redemption Christian Tabernacle. She enjoyed spending time at the Huber Heights Senior Center visiting with her friends and playing Bingo, scrapbooking with photos of her family and friends, and watching home videos. Marian passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 in Dayton, Ohio, after living a productive, God fearing life. She leaves to cherish her loving memory with her seven children, which she considered the most important accomplishment of her life; Michael Delane Johnson (Linda), Port Richey, FL, Harold Martin Johnson (Stephanie), Olathe, KS, George Harold Johnson, Jr. (Yazgul), Woodbridge, VA, Billy Keith Johnson, Sr., (Carol), |Edmond, OK, Doris Lee Starks (Donnie), Omaha, NE, Diana Lynn Lowe (Tommie), Dayton, OH, Nina Marie Burnett (Danny), Dayton, OH, brother, Billy Chambers (Betty) Brandywine, MD, Thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers John Brown, Jack Chambers, an her sister, Nelfern Chambers Riley. Marian was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Redemption Christian Tabernacle, Tipp City, OH.
