Actor Steve Carell is reuniting with “The Office” co-creator Greg Daniels for a new Netflix comedy series modeled off President Donald Trump’s directive last summer to create a Space Force as a sixth branch of the U.S. military, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
While Trump’s Space Force hasn’t gotten off the ground yet, Netflix released a tease trailer for the new comedy.
It’s described as a workplace series focused on the people responsible for creating the new Space Force, THR reported.
This will mark Carell’s first return to series television since leaving “The Office” after seven seasons in 2011.
Carell, also an executive producer on the project, is expected to earn $1 million an episode or more.
