One person was killed and three others were wounded Thursday in a drive-by shooting shortly after the funeral procession for slain rapper Nipsey Hussle had passed through a South Los Angeles neighborhood, KTLA reported.
Three men and a woman were hit by gunfire shortly before 7 p.m. as a hearse carrying the body of the singer and activist was arriving at a funeral home eight miles away, Los Angeles police Chief Michel Moore confirmed.
The victims ranged in age from 30 to 50, Moore told the Los Angeles Times.
"Tragically, one is deceased," Moore wrote on Twitter. "We must stop this senseless violence."

Victims are 3 Male Blacks and 1 Female Black - ages from 30-50 years old. Tragically one is deceased.
Suspects in gray Hyundai fired on the victims.
We must stop this senseless violence.
Moore also said the attackers opened fire from a gray Hyundai that was passing through the neighborhood.
There was no indication Thursday's violence was connected to the procession, the Times reported.
Hussle, 33, whose real name was Ermias Joseph Asghedom, was shot and killed March 31 in front of Marathon Clothing, his Los Angeles business.
In the week leading up to Hussle's death, 11 people were killed in Los Angeles, with about half of the slayings occurring in South Los Angeles, the Times reported. All of the victims in the South L.A. killings were either black or Latino, the newspaper reported.
