21st Century Fox has swiftly settled the sexual harassment lawsuit filed by Gretchen Carlson against former CEO Roger Ailes. The details were made public Tuesday morning.

Vanity Fair reported that as part of the settlement, Carlson will drop the lawsuit and receive $20 million and a public apology from the company.

The studio released a statement about the settlement, which in part said, “We sincerely regret and apologize for the fact that Gretchen was not treated with the respect and dignity that she and all of our colleagues deserve."

Carlson also released a statement about the settlement "I am gratified that 21st Century Fox took decisive action after I filed my Complaint. I'm ready to move on to the next chapter of my life in which I will redouble my efforts to empower women in the workplace.”

Carlson made waves when she filed the sexual harassment lawsuit against Ailes in July. More women have come forward since then, claiming Ailes harassed them when they worked for the network. Ailes denied the allegations.
